The Design Brief

A small mid terrace house with a small garden containing the garage which gets some afternoon sunshine. Tired shrubs and fences needed renovating, and a space for entertaining and a place for children’s play equipment was also needed.

The Solution

A simple design based on squares has lifted the garden immensely and made the space seem much larger. A barked play area with bamboo and grasses provides space for a climbing frame, a lovely decked area from the back door and French windows provides an adult space to sit and entertain, while the cool, contemporary planting of green grasses mixed with white flowers, birch trees and purple tinted perennials and ferns provides a calming and relaxing place to be.
