The Design Brief
A modern style house the client had just moved into with a blank canvas garden of weeds with small amounts of grass mixed in. The garden is of a very angular shape and faces north. The client needed space to sit and relax off the conservatory, some nice flower beds, but not too many or too large and a small vegetable garden with some raised beds.
The Solution
An angular design to match the shape of the garden, with angular diagonal patio/deck area and sharp angular beds which were big enough for a good selection of plants but not too big. A nice gravel area to the left of the patio provided space for a relaxing water feature and some more grasses with a path leading from here to the side door. A small vegetable garden was sited at the end of the garden where most sun would be provided and disguised using trellis.
